" Death Waits" was his very real, if somber, reminder that at the end of all our days of life, there is only the certainty of death. " Time passes" or "time flies" became more of a reality each day as Jim himself approached the age of 50. The gear wheel on the stin of the skull is found in all mechanical watches and is a symbol of the passing of time. The skull on the face of the coin symobolizes death.
